Town Square

So long, thanks for the stories

Original post made by Emily West, editor of Danville Express, on Nov 3, 2010

The past couple weeks have been significant for me. I've visited Walt Disney World, won a [Web Link national championship] in [Web Link Ultimate Frisbee] and, here's the kicker, accepted a new job in a different field. That means it's time for me to say goodbye as your editor.

Emily...kudos for you for your graceful administration of this web, and indeed all the additional challenges facing your industry that young future talent like you face in your chosen field. You have been kind and responsive at the wee hours of the morning..and did your best to set things right. I want to say job well done and I hope you return to journalism soon...I just want to give you a cyber pat on the back...and I know others do as well..
Thank You-
JRM

Dear Emily,

Since we went to different schools together it is only appropriate that we run off together in opposite directions. All the gang down here @ODDs, a Saloon for Fools, will miss your efforts to keep this forum on track and focused on issues.

Walk, don't run to the nearest exit and celebrate,
