Vets ponder going 'green'

The Vets Hall steering committee was presented with options to making the revamped structure more energy efficient and "green" friendly, at their last meeting.

Wonderful! I think all new buildings supported by the Town should have to meet some level of LEED certification! And it is absolutely possible to do this without compromising the character of historic buildings! I hope this goes through!

I suggest that folks google "LEED problems" for a wider analysis and opinions on several issues dealing with LEED certification.

We may be spending a lot of money merely for politically correct reasons...

Luke Further, you are absolutely correct...and Melanie, you are a typical person not knowing which end is up. You are a dreamer, tree lover, and I'm sure a believer that us little human's are causing global warming....BTW, I'm sure you believe the town council of Danville can and will do something the correct Global Warming of this vast Earth. I'm you don't know they can barely handle the day to day issues in Danville...hell even the mayor wants to get out of Danville and help mess up Sacramento. But he will be in the right company...wasn't the mayor the one that said he can't even say his name in 3 minutes.
