Orchard owner Armand Borel passes away

Regarding the Crow Canyon & I680 sections, I met the State of Calif employee who "purchased" the land for the state. His first thoughts when driving from Oakland was shock that "country" still existed back then. The second was having to deal with the land owners, such as Mr. Borel Luckily for us, Mr. Borel's 17 acres were set back enough that the state lost interest.
