I find it more than a little curious that public service announcements detailing the change-over from analog to digital TV are shown several times during the Jeopardy program. This is done by a text crawl at the top of the screen. Without putting too fine a point on it, most folks who watch Jeopardy tend to be on the more intelligent side of the fence of humanity. They most likely are thoroughly familiar with the change-over and have already taken steps to ensure that their TV programming will not be interrupted.
I submit that it would make much more sense for public service announcements on this topic be shown on programs that tend to be watched by the less astute among us. In fact, if the folks in charge of getting the word out really wanted to reach down, they could do no better than targeting the David Letterman audience.
I'm just trying to help with salient and cogent suggestions for improving communication.
