Sock it to me: An embarrassing moment at the post office

Original post made by Dolores Ciardelli, editor of Danville Express, on Feb 10, 2011

Enforcing silly rules like this is one reason that the Post Office claims that they will be broke by September.

I'm just wondering if the postal worker asked if you wanted to buy insurance?

I'm curious - did they ask if it was liquid, perishable, fragile or potentially hazardous?

I'm even more curious about your answer. Not liquid. Perishable?- aren't we all. Fragile - no. Potentially hazardous? A clean sock is probably OK. My dirty socks are not only hazardous, but are toxic much of the time. I'm the only guy you know with a wax-lined laundry hamper.
