New York Times is reporting that President Obama was quoted as saying that "He was the Miami Heat, and Romney was Jeremy Lin".
What a strange, but ironically accurate quote from President Obama.
Jeremy Lin is a hard working, humble, christian athlete, who puts the entire team first, not select individuals, and not his own self promotion. He routinely gives up open shots, to get his teammates involved in the scoring, to share the wealth. His own hard work results in achievement for all of those around him. He unites his team, does not divide them. His efforts make all of those around him better. He thanks God for his glory.
The Miami Heat is full of prima donnas, self glory hounds, who like to refer to themselves as the "big 3", although there are 14 players on their roster. They were jealous when their rookie teammate Mario Chalmers starting playing well and received attention, so they purposefully started passing the ball less to him, as they were threatened by his success. They have an absolute entitlement mentality, and handle success as poorly as they handle defeat. Arrogant, egotistical, and immature, are words that many sportswriters use to define this team.
I believe most parents would prefer that their children emulate Jeremy Lin over the Miami Heat players.
Think about this when you vote in November.
