Ewwwww! Another liberal soiling our fair town. Rakestraw also showcases Barbara Boxer a few years back who did NOT write the book she was pushing. She snuck out of the store as Americans had surrounded the place to yell at her lying sorry butt. I make it a point to let ppl know to not shop at this libTARD loving business until they can try a tiny bit of equality in who they highlight. Won't happen.....go to Berserkeley, Rakestraw---u r not wanted here.

Shame on you Ann. It's a free country, and our "fair town" is actually soiled by negative people like you.

I am a Republican, but I absolutely disagree with the views of Ann, as the owner of Rakestraw books has been a long time friend of our community. He opened up his store for school field trips, invites local authors(such as Mark Curtis)to discuss and sign their books, and will go to great lengths to find and order rare books for us residents. Danville is really lucky to have Rakestraw books in our town, and I would drive miles to find a quality, independent book store, rather than shop at some giant franchise bookstore that is only into for profits. Ignore Ann, Rakestraw, and please stay in town!

Danville 2012: Obama 11,870 to Romney 11,521.

Danville 2008: Obama 11,321 to McCain 8,891.

Danville 2008: Prop 8 No 11,039 to Yes 9,202.

Ann Davidson -- how many of your neighbors do you really want to insult? More than half, it would appear -- not counting those families, like mine, with a developmentally disabled member.

Also, I know a little about how the Rev. Williams has devoted his life, and all the people he's sought to help. But I haven't heard much about you -- have you written a book? Helped anyone? Please let us know -- the floor is yours.

@Ann Davidson - more then shame, pox on your backwards perspectives on life. Conservative or Liberal, this post is but for a bookstore. More so, one that is extremely well run and is a fantastic resource for literature in our town that does not involve a 'big box' establishment. If you desire to maintain our community as "our fair town" you should support a merchant such as this.

When you get a chance, try reading a book. They're really quite interesting. I suspect you would enjoy Fahrenheit 451 and the character Mildred (Montag). You seem to share a certain commonality with her.

"libtard"? How old are you Ann - 12?

Here's a helpful hint: Don't like Cecil? Stay home. No one cares. Really.

Yes, very liberal, that Rev. Williams. Feeding the poor and homeless, don't you know.

I seem to remember a figure in the Bible who also advocated for feeding the poor and hungry. Dared to be called the "Prince of Peace." Pretty liberal. Probably should keep him out of Danville, too, eh?

Ah, right about now, I am loving my neighbors. All but one....

What nasty attackers just because someone doesn't like Cecil! So intolerant! Lefties are so so so intolerant!

@Gretchen - I think you need to learn the difference between ugly, mean spirited intolerance and mere disagreement. Did Ann Davidson just "not like" Cecil Williams or did she say eeeeeew he's a libTARD who will soil our fair town and is not wanted here. On second thought, you probably do know the difference, but just aren't willing to acknowledge it.

Gretchen: If I'm charged with being intolerant of those who celebrate mob behavior, I'll just have to plead guilty.

I also think you owe 'American' an apology for calling him a Leftie -- I'm pretty sure that's a first. After all, isn't he the guy who wanted to organize a boycott to drive-out the evil influence of the Raucous Caucus blog?
