Pair arrested for allegedly using newspaper subscriber list to target empty homes

A pair of suspected burglars was arrested earlier this month after allegedly using a Contra Costa Times subscriber vacation list to target and burglarize at least one home in Walnut Creek, police said Tuesday.

It would seem that the Contra Costa Times needs to do an upgrade to their internal security if they can afford it. Short of a GPS map to the homes on vacation this story points out how your personal information is available to anyone who is cleaver enough to know where to look to find it.
