What a large crock of bs this article is!!! So many ppl have STOPPED even looking for jobs in this Obama economy! Every family knows someone out of work in the Bay Area. And---wait until more full timers are cut below 30 hrs to bypass the IRS run "health" care!

Susan Anderson from Walnut is right.

It's a bunch of BS...it's simple manipulation of figures and the stupid naive fall for it all the time.

Yep and I am sure the State Department and CIA where involved in editing the article. I also have proof that not only did Obama personally harass the person who wrote the article to leave out everything Susan Anderson pointed out, the IRS audited the writer.

Well, if highway traffic is any indication of employment levels, it seems like the morning and evening commutes are getting heavier each month. That tells me that more people are working.

True, it may not play well for the Republicans. Kinda sad that they would rather have unemployment stay high, just so they can blame Obama, than to have the economy recover. Doesn't seem very patriotic to me.

Traffic is not an indication of how many "jobs" are full time vs part time. Also golly--how many of the commuters are part of the flood of illegals running here for their freebees?

Dave,

dont you realize in the morning all those cars are being driven by people driving to the unemployment office to get their government handout. And of course starting at 4pm to 7pm they all drive to the liquor store to buy booze.

Also have you ever wondered why the morning commute jams end at 10am and the afternoon commute jams start up at 3:30pm? That is because everyone is now working less than 30 hours a week.

Tom -

You crack me up with your cynicism. True, too many people are working part-time jobs. But, more people are working - just look at the increased income tax revenues at the state and federal levels. Deficits are coming down because of greater revenue.

Corporations shipping jobs overseas and sitting on record-level piles of cash undoubtedly have slowed down the economic recovery. Fortunately, more manufacturing jobs have been created in the US under Obama than under Bush, after many years of losing them in the early 2000s.

But, that, by itself won't be enough to grow the economy back to where it was before Bush tanked it. We need to invest more in job, education and infrastructure -- so that US businesses will have even more reason to expand and hire locally.

Bush did it!! Bush!!! Oh no, it's Bush AGAIN! Nevermind Jeffrey Immelt of GE (Obama's BFF) being put on the phony jobs council that never met--now defunct, and shipping more jobs and taxes offshore!! The Bush Mantra is so old give it up.

Of course you're right, Chris. We're supposed to forget the fact that at the end of Bush's Administration the US economy was losing close to a million jobs a month, as opposed to adding hundreds of thousands of new jobs each month as it is now. Why would we want to know that? Why would we want to ever think about the policies which brought the world to the brink of another great depression, or the fact that the US is healing from that fiasco?

Oh, wait. know why. Because we have to pretend that Republican economic and political policies haven't been a total disaster for this nation, so we can blame the fact that everything isn't perfect on Obama.

Yup - that's it, it's Obama's fault.

The Fox News bashing is in the same category as playing the well worn race card. Passť. I can't recall anyone at FOX getting a "thrill up" the leg like Chris Matthrews announced over his biased love affair with Barry- I can't remember anything-Obama.
