Many voters throughout and beyond our region, as readers of your on-line and print paper, have been searching for subjects for FORUM discussion. Danielle, an Iron Horse neighbor in south Danville, suggested that community, infrastructure, economic development and environmental usage are still key subjects. She further suggested that economic development is critical to our region as we slide downward into the nation's recession.
That sparked Iron Horse corridor neighbors from Sunol to Concord to agree with gusto! "What will holiday shopping be for our region?" "How will our major employers cope with employment?" What about city budgets and shortfalls in revenue?" "How do we re-invent our economy after the housing bubble burst?"
The reality is subjects are personal concerns among a majority and many very savvy neighbors have real ideas to move us forward. "We are just between Lawrence Berkeley Labs and Livermore National Laboratories so we have the technology to grow a new economy."
You are an exceptional journalist trying to lead a struggling publisher into media dominance and revenue, right? There is no one better. Tell the story and feature the future advertisers in stories that will build our tomorrow.
Houses are homes and our technology/commercial development is our real future.
I applaud you,
