Suspicious Stein, Watchdog Warren, and a Basket of Deplorables

Uploaded: Nov 26, 2016
The Presidential Election is over and Donald Trump has won. He's already started naming members of his Cabinet. Those of us who didn't want that outcome will have to accept it, including Green Party candidate, Dr. Jill Stein.

Dr. Stein raised enough money to finance a recount of votes in Wisconsin and potentially Michigan and Pennsylvania. It isn't completely clear what Dr. Stein hopes to gain. She might add a few miscounted votes to her total, but there's no chance that a recount would result in her winning. But if somehow the recount switched the Electoral Votes in those states from Trump to Clinton, all hell could break loose.

Anti-Trump voters have accepted, or at least are reconciled, to the reality that Donald Trump won the election. Any upsetting of that would be very upsetting to Mr. Trump's supporters and would make what should be a smooth transition into a potential Civil War. If the recount in Wisconsin doesn't result in any electoral flips, that should be the end of any last ditch efforts to ditch Donald Trump as President.

But while President Elect Trump is preparing to take over the Oval Office, his every move will be under the scrutiny of Elizabeth Warren. The Senator from Massachusetts has declared herself the "Trump Tracker." She will, "Track his every move," and report any of his actions that "fail Americans."

Trump made a lot of promises during his campaign. Even though Trump claimed not to be a Politician, like most politicians, he made many promises that politicians often fail to keep. But now we have eagle-eyed Elizabeth on the case Tracking Trump's every failure to deliver what he promised.

So barring any Electoral Vote flips, Civil Wars, or un-kept promises, President Elect Trump will now learn what outgoing President Obama had to put up with for eight years from all those "Deplorables" who dogged his two terms as President, including one of them named Donald Trump.

Democracy.
What is it worth to you?

My take:
We elected the chief bully.
Hillary is wrong for supporting the recall effort by Stein.
I am glad there will be a conservative government in Washington.
Pelosi needs to be removed from the democratic house leadership.
Swalwell has moved from moderate to ultra liberal, he needs Pelosi to survive.

So let me get this straight, NOW Elizabeth Hiawatha Warren wants to track presidential promises? Where was she when the red line was crossed in Syria or when we couldn't keep doctors or when our medical policies were increased or when nobody got put in jail for mortgage collapse or...?

She is probably the silliest of all politicians currently and is not to be taken seriously.

As far as the recount, The republicans should counter and ask for a recount AND audit of the California vote. Let's see who REALLY voted in LA, San Diego, and SF metro areas. Something tells me this would stop the recount PDQ.

Dan.

I like Trumps latest release, that he is considering jail time and loss of citizenship for flag burners.

I'm surprised at you Michael. Flag burning has been ruled a form of speech by the Supreme Court, so it is allowed under the Bill of Rights. Why do some people (not you) believe burning a piece of decorated cloth is terrible but burning a person or an animal is OK? That's a rhetorical question so no reply is necessary.

I believe people burning the flag do not like this country, have no respect and do not appreciate the men and women that have fought and died for this country.

Roz,

"Why do some people (not you) believe burning a piece of decorated cloth is terrible but burning a person or an animal is OK?"

Interesting.

I know you said it was rhetorical, but perhaps you could have used a slightly less horrid analogy?

And I agree with you on flag-burning. Although it has to rank as one of the stupidest and useless forms of free speech (right up there with Andres Serannos' "Piss Christ"), it is nonetheless free speech.

The left and the media never cease to amaze the country with its infantile outbursts. They have learned absolutely nothing about the election of Trump, and good...because it makes it even more fun to watch and participate.

I've always thought the writers of "The American President" got it right when character President Shepherd gave a speech including the following:

"America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours." You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country cannot just be a flag. The symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Now show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then you can stand up and sing about the land of the free."

I don't think the libs want a recount in California and disclose just how many illegals voted here. In fact, my guess is the recounts in the states the losers have financed will disclose a larger margin of victory for Trump if the illegal, the dead and double vote counts are tossed. This is truly a bi-coastal country now, with a huge amount of takers on the coasts and the makers in the middle. There are other more important issues than allowing boys and girls to use the same bathroom, being able to marry a goat or legally smoking dope. And elizabeth warren has always been a pain in the ass, but can you tell me just ONE thing she has achieved? Get busy on google roz, there must be something.

Roz, if I may chime in?

The Consumer Protection Agency is Elizabeth Warren's brainchild.
"10 Things Elizabeth Warren's Consumer Protection Agency Has Done for You" Web Link

"The feds use their new muscle: Consumer protection agency fines Wells Fargo for massive fraud" Web Link

Too bad the upcoming administration is set on dismantling the Agency and appointing to his cabinet members who have made millions defrauding and shaking down consumers. For example:

Steven Mnuchin - Treasury Secretary - Hopped from Goldman Sachs and the financial crisis they helped create to buying IndyMac Bank, making millions foreclosing on tens of thousands of homes, putting people out on the street. Nicknamed "the king of foreclosures". Trump on Mnuchin: "He purchased IndyMac Bank for $1.6 billion and ran it very professionally, selling it for $3.4 billion plus a return of capital. That's the kind of people I want in my administration representing our country."

Wilbur Ross - Commerce Secretary - Rothchilds investment banker known for making his fortune buying and bankrupting failing companies. Nicknamed "the king of bankruptcies". Trump on Ross: "Wilbur Ross is a champion of American manufacturing and knows how to help companies succeed."

Tom Price - Health and Human Services Secretary - Set up and raised millions from the "Physicians Council for Responsible Reform", shaking down doctors for donations using the same scam Tom DeLay ran. Trump on Price: "a tireless problem solver and the go-to expert on healthcare policy".

And these appointees exemplify the kind of sludge left when Mr. Trump "drained the swamp". Thank goodness Elizabeth Warren hasn't backed off and will continue to champion consumers.

"Too bad the upcoming administration is set on dismantling the Agency and appointing to his cabinet members who have made millions defrauding and shaking down consumers."

Oh?

Why don't you elucidate all of us as to who exactly was put in jail for the mortgage crisis?

What's that I hear? Nobody?

I wonder why the democrats didn't prosecute anyone for that alleged shakedown??

I'll tell you why, because they were bought and paid for by those same financial companies, that's why. All those companies had to do was pay billions in fines and they were given a get out of jail free card. They also accepted more regulations such as the agency you cited.

People have caught on to this game and now you have Trump.

Blame democrats and republicans.

"they were bought and paid for by those same financial companies . . . People have caught on to this game and now you have Trump."

Like Trump is a step up? President-Elect Trump has been bought and paid for to the tune of *hundreds* of millions of dollars in loans from big banks, and not just Goldman Sachs. He's now rewarding those same bankers for their investments and hard work putting people out of their homes and jobs with Cabinet posts. Throw in a VP-elect who thinks you can "pray the gay away", an influential alt-right white nationalist (Bannon), those with a history of making racially-charged remarks (Sessions, Flynn), someone who says they're not qualified to run a Cabinet post and wouldn't want to "cripple the presidency" (Carson), a billionaire who wants to gut public school education in favor of private schools (DeVos) and that sludge just keeps getting deeper. I can't wait until half-term Gov Palin is announced as the VA lead, or one of the Exxon CEOs (Tillerson, Raymond) for Sec of State.

Assuming all Trump's picks are blessed, the only winners in the next four years are big banks/insurance/pharma/oil and tax-subsidized private schools. It seems his administration will vigorously work to privatize everything they can get their hands on, take away the health care of 20 million, and energize the "war" on women's health and welfare. Historical, indeed.

Now it appears that James Mattis will be tapped for SecDef. Good pick, but I hope that while building back up our military he fixes the obviously broken defense procurement system. Defense contractors have been ripping us off for decades and this needs to be fixed, and fast.

Frankly, DKHSK, you can talk to yourself about Senator Warren as long as you continue to shade her with your Trump-like racism.

Nice pivot.

I guess when you can't defend the initial points you made, go with another accusation and see if it sticks, huh?

Dan

ps,
Sadly, I have to agree with you about Palin. She's a quitter and annoying.

"Frankly, DKHSK, you can talk to yourself about Senator Warren as long as you continue to shade her with your Trump-like racism"

Lucky for me that I am immune from any classless and baseless accusation from you and anyone else.

Elizabeth Hiawatha Warren, in an effort to get a leg up in her academic career, claimed that she was Cherokee Indian. Her self-proclaimed life was based on a complete fabrication: Web Link

She gained much success by making and perpetuating a false identity. She has never fully addressed and accounted for her lies.

"Family lore" does not make one any more Native American than someone going to a tanning booth and then claiming they are African American: Web Link

That you think it's racist for my pointing this out is yet another attempt to pivot from the issue.

Dan,

Interesting comment about defense contractors, "(They) have been ripping us off for decades and this needs to be fixed, and fast." I used to work for one of those contractors 30 years ago; so it has been decades. I was a Business Systems Analyst for Hughes Aircraft Space & Communications Group in the 1980's.

Does anyone remember the $600 Toilet Seat? This was one example paraded out by the press to expose government waste and lack of control. The media likes to whip audiences up with sensational stories, which even if they are not false, they are not completely true.

In reality the cost of this toilet seat was an example of too much government control. I'm not going to describe all the steps in the DoD procurement process, but it is long and drawn out even for a toilet seat.

But this was no ordinary toilet seat that you could pick up for $20 at the local hardware store. This was a toilet seat for the high tech toilet in the Space Station. It was manufactured to precise specifications to fit that one and only toilet in that one and only Space Station.

The government procurement process requires putting customized items out for bid with highly detailed schematics and specifications. At least under Obama the government doesn't need a complex process for paperclips and coffee cups anymore.
