Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I was at a concert recently, minding the box office, when a man rushed in saying he was bringing his wife her eyeglasses. I pointed him through the double doors. Soon he came out and left.

A few minutes later, his wife came out complaining. “My husband is color-blind. I asked him to bring me my red reading glasses.” She waved a pair of clear-rimmed glasses. “Now he has to go get another pair from the car,” she went on.

“Isn’t that nice of him,” I said.

She looked quite surprised. After a pause she said, “Oh, I guess I should appreciate that he’s doing this for me. I’m the one that forgot them in the first place.”

I hope she shared her appreciation with him.
