Jumpin’ at the Sun, San Ramon’s first and only resident professional dance company, will be having its second performance at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center this Friday (April 10), starting at 8 p.m.

The performance will feature four new routines and company repertory, including an original poem performed live by San Ramon’s Poet Laureate Kathy Moore.

Jumpin’ at the Sun infuses dance with lyrical, contemporary, jazz and ballet to a variety of musical styles.

Tickets to the company’ performance or available online or by calling 973-3343.

In October 2013, the San Ramon Arts Foundation voted unanimously to have Jumpin’ at the Sun (JATS) as San Ramon’s resident professional dance company.

“JATS is our dream come true,” company co-director Lindsey Neville said in a September 2014 interview. “It’s something we have always wanted, so when the opportunity came about we pounced on it.”
