A new 50,000-square-foot conference center recently opened within 2600 at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon to accommodate corporate meetings and private events for as few as eight people to as many as 800, Bishop Ranch reps said in a statement last week.

The Roundhouse Conference Center includes an auditorium with the capacity to hold 300 people, two lecture halls that hold 75 people in each, a convertible event room with a capacity of 160, six boardrooms that share a common amenity lobby and workstation, an interior atrium that holds 150 seated and 200 standing, and an exterior waterfront patio plaza that holds 150 seated and 250 standing.

“We’re excited about the overall experience Roundhouse Conference Center will provide for meeting planners and attendees. Not only is the setting beautiful, but the amenities make it an ideal place to hold productive and creative sessions,” said Alexander Mehran, Jr., president and COO of Sunset Development Co., which owns and operates Bishop Ranch.

All conference rooms feature the latest in technology to optimize presentations, according to Bishop Ranch reps. The six boardrooms each feature conference tables, ergonomic seating, flat-screen displays and Polycom conference systems.

The conference center was designed by IA Interior Architects and is managed by Moana Restaurant group, which also teamed up with Bishop Ranch for the Roundhouse Market dining hub set to open in early 2016.

In addition to the 27,000 square feet of space the interior conference rooms offer, the outside area has 23,000 square feet to be used for meetings, events and parties of many sizes. There is also gourmet full-service hot and cold catering options that can accommodate small and large groups.

Breakfast, pastries and snacks, salads, sandwiches, and full entrees are all served at the Roundhouse Conference Center along with bar offerings for evening receptions, Bishop Ranch reps said.

“Having a successful and productive meeting starts with finding the right venue that inspires creativity and nourishes the attendees,” said Tim Harmon, CEO of Moana Restaurant Group.

“We know that the Roundhouse Conference Center will be a boon for Bishop Ranch customers and the wider business community and groups throughout California. Our history of operating fantastic restaurants also brings a fresh, new culinary angle to what meetings and events can be,” he added.
