San Ramon: Schubros Brewery to expand distribution across California, other states

Local company also hires head brewmaster, announces brewery expansion

San Ramon-based Schubros Brewery will be expanding its distribution area to across California and four other regions, as well as adding on to its local brewery.

Schubros Brewery, founded in 2011, plans to distribute across Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C. and Kansas within the next few months. The brewery will partner with Young's Market Company, a distributor for wine, beer and liquor, to bring their wares to customers across California, the brewery announced Monday.

The company will also partner with Maryland-based DOPS, Inc. for the Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C. expansion and will work with Worldwide Wine and Spirits to sell its products in Kansas.

The brewery has also hired a new head brewmaster, Eric Reid DuVall, and announced plans to expand its current San Ramon facilities.

"This is an exciting time for Schubros, as we look forward to long relationships with Young's, DOPS, and Worldwide," Schubros CEO Ian Schuster said. "We just need to make sure that all cylinders are firing. Eric has the skills, experience and organizational acumen to squeeze out every drop of the best beer we can make. And with our latest shares offering, we'll be able to expand our current brewery ASAP, and get our next one up and running sooner rather than later."

DuVall was the prior brewmaster for Huntington Beach Beer Company and Tustin Brewing Company in Southern California.

Schubros Brewery is located at 12893 Alcosta Blvd., Suite N in San Ramon.

San Ramon, Danville, & Alamo beverage stores and restaurants should take notice and support and carry beers from our only local brewery!!

I couldn't find it in Safeway the other day. I wonder if they quit selling it?

Have you tried their new Midnight Cove - their new bourbon barrel aged stout? It's delicious!

These guys make some really great beer. I hope that they keep the tap room open for a long time. I hope that they ope it more often too.

It's over by the Post Office just off Alcosta (just south of the post office).
