The San Ramon City Council is set to consider approving a contract with an Orange County-based company Tuesday to furnish and install audio-visual equipment at the new San Ramon City Hall.
The bid of $291,895 from Digital Networks Group, Inc. came in almost $40,000 below initial cost estimates, according to city officials. The Aliso Viejo-based company submitted the lowest bid of the eight proposals the city received.
The audio-visual project at the new City Hall -- currently under construction adjacent to Central Park at Bollinger Canyon Road and Market Place -- will be funded by the city's public, educational and governmental (PEG) cable television fee fund and the Sunset Development Co. audio-visual allocation in the building budget, according to city staff.
The project includes moving existing audio-visual equipment from the current San Ramon City Hall and adding new technology and equipment, according to city staff.
Later in the meeting, City Manager Greg Rogers will update the council about the City Hall construction and the San Ramon City Center project.
The council's open-session meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. inside the council chambers at the current San Ramon City Hall, 2222 Camino Ramon.
