Danville town offices set for week-long furlough

Holiday closure to limit access to certain town services

Danville town offices will close between Christmas Day and New Year's Day for a mandatory furlough, limiting people's access to certain town services.

Office staff will be unavailable and the front counter will be closed from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1. Normal business activities will resume Jan. 4, after the New Year's weekend.

During the furlough window, building inspections will be available only on Dec. 29, 30 and 31, provided people follow specific scheduling guidelines.

To receive an inspection, residents need to call 314-3333 the day before the desired inspection date and enter their permit's eight-digit code and three-digit inspection code. Callers should wait on the line for a confirmation number to be generated.

To verify the inspection time, residents should call 314-3330 between 7:30-8 a.m. on the scheduled inspection day.

Any inspection requests made between Dec. 31 at 6 a.m. and Jan. 4 at 5:59 a.m. will be scheduled to occur on Jan. 4, town officials said.

The police department business office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 29-31.

The Danville town offices are located at 510 La Gonda Way. For more information on the upcoming closure, contact city clerk Marie Sunseri at 314-3401 or msunseri@danville.ca.gov.
