Personnel file: San Ramon firm promotes pair to senior accountant

TYS, LLP, a bi-coastal accounting firm with its West Coast office in San Ramon, recently announced two promotions within its tax and audit teams.

Sapan Chokshi and David Feor were promoted to senior accountant last month, according to representatives of the firm, which focuses on strategic business planning services, financial auditing, tax preparations and consulting.

Chokshi, who began working for TYS, LLP a year ago as a staff accountant, will manage quarterly reviews and year-end audits for public and private companies in his new role, company officials said. He received a bachelor's degree in business economics from UC Riverside and a certificate in accounting from Santa Clara University.

Feor, who started as a staff accountant in August, will now provide accounting and tax services for individuals, privately held companies and family-owned businesses as well as oversee the firm's "talent on-boarding program" (TOP) internship effort. A certified public accountant, Feor earned a Master of Business Administration from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.

The TYS, LLP West Coast office is located at 3150 Crow Canyon Place in San Ramon. Its East Coast office is in Fairport, N.Y. The firm was founded in 2010 by partners Glen Thomas, Chris York and Tim Shortsleeve.
