Speech topics to include city finances, police, civic center, schools

San Ramon's budget conditions, crime rate, open space efforts and civic center project are among the issues Mayor Bill Clarkson is set to discuss during his State of the City address on Tuesday.

The annual event, presented by the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled to run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center at San Ramon Golf Club.

Clarkson is also expected to highlight the city's social media and open government efforts, library renovations, the San Ramon City Center project and school district updates during his 30-minute speech Tuesday (Feb. 9), according to chamber officials.

The event will begin with a networking period, lunch and welcoming remarks before the mayor's State of the City address. The speech will be followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session.
