Follow yellow brick road to 'Wizard of Oz' sing-a-long Saturday

Head off to see Dorothy, the wizard and more at "The Wizard of Oz" sing-a-long event occurring this Saturday at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center.

The event is set to coincide with the 75th anniversary celebration of the 1939 film starring Judy Garland as Dorothy.

The screening will have subtitles to the songs so the audience is able to sing along. "Wizard of Oz" fans are welcome to dress up as their favorite character from the classic film and participate in the costume contests to win prizes.

"Wizard of Oz" goody bags will be available to movie-goers during the event.

The sing-a-long will occur this Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center on 10550 Albion Road in San Ramon.

Tickets to the event cost $12-16 and can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 570-0423.
