Danville gallery seeks artists for public parks exhibition

Entries accepted through July 22

Artists who enjoy visually representing the great outdoors and the natural world can submit their artwork for the sixth annual juried exhibition at the Village Theatre and Art Gallery in Danville.

The exhibition will be held as part of the 100th anniversary celebration of the National Park Service.

"Show us parks as you see them, from your local park to your state and national parks," gallery representatives said in a statement.

Painting, photography, sculpture and video are acceptable art forms for the exhibition entries. The entry submission deadline is this Friday (July 22).

The juried exhibition will be showcased from Aug. 26 through Oct. 15, with an opening reception on Aug. 26 from 5-7 p.m.

Entries can be submitted online. For more information on submissions or about the exhibition, contact Marija Bleier, visual arts coordinator, at 314-3460.
