SRVUSD schools prepare for graduations

High schoolers graduate Friday; middle school eighth-grade ceremonies set Wednesday and Thursday

San Ramon Valley Unified School District schools are gearing up for graduations this week.

The comprehensive high schools are set to host 12th-grade graduations Friday evening, and the middle schools have their eighth-grade promotion ceremonies set for Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

High schools

* California High School at the Cal High Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Friday

* Dougherty Valley High School at DVHS Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Friday

* Monte Vista High School at MVHS Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Friday

* San Ramon Valley High School at SRVHS Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Friday

* Venture Independent Study School at DVHS Performing Arts Center, June 16 at 7 p.m.

* Del Amigo Continuation High School held its graduation last Thursday at SRVHS Performing Arts Center.

Middle schools

* Diablo Vista Middle School at Diablo Vista Field, 6 p.m. Wednesday

* Iron Horse Middle School at Cal High Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Wednesday

* Los Cerros Middle School at MVHS Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Wednesday

* Windemere Ranch Middle School at DVHS Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Wednesday

* Charlotte Wood Middle School at SRVHS Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Thursday

* Gale Ranch Middle School at DVHS Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Thursday

* Pine Valley Middle School at Cal High Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Thursday

* Stone Valley Middle School at MVHS Athletic Field, 6 p.m. Thursday

John Muir Health contributed $500 each to California, Monte Vista and San Ramon Valley to support the schools' safe and sober grad night events. In all, the health care organization donated $10,000 to 20 Contra Costa County grad night events, according to John Muir officials.

Having this info in one place is helpful for planning purposes. Curious as to why John Nuir Health is singled out as a donor when I know there are many more donors of equal or greater value???
