Evenings will get a little cooler this summer as San Ramon Central Park is set to host its Summer Concerts series, starting this weekend.

The concerts are set to begin this Sunday and continue every Sunday through early August, with the exception of a Fourth of July Celebration concert on the holiday.

Take the family out for great music, food and fun to relax and enjoy one of life’s simplest pleasures, according to city officials, who recommend people bring a blanket, lawn chairs and a picnic meal for the shows. Wine, beer, soda and snacks will be available for purchase.

The performance schedule is:

June 26: Opera in the Park, 4 p.m.

Presented by Festival Opera – Join Festival Opera for an early-summer program of operatic favorites.

July 4: Independence Day Celebration – The Boys of Summer, 5-8 p.m.

A tribute to the music of The Eagles – Celebrate the Fourth of July with a free concert featuring music from the iconic American rock band. The evening will begin with patriotic music performed by the San Ramon Symphonic Band, a salute to military veterans and free crafts for the kids will round out the activities.

July 10: Superhuey, 5:30 p.m. Huey Lewis and the News tribute band.

July 17: The Fabulous Cruisetones, 5:30 p.m. An oldies dance party.
