Danville Blvd. roadwork set for Thursday

A road project on Danville Boulevard in Danville is expected to cause traffic delays on Thursday.

Crews will be repaving and sealing from Railroad Avenue to El Cerro Boulevard on Thursday starting at 7:30 a.m. and running through the evening hours, according to town officials.

Traffic will be maintained in both directions while the work is ongoing, but town officials encourage motorists to use alternate routes because there will be periodic delays due to lanes being shifted.

The work Thursday is being done in preparation for a re-striping project to occur in the section of road later this month.

Residents who live in the area will still have full access to their homes, town officials said.
