San Ramon looking to fill city committee openings

Spots also open for county positions

The city of San Ramon is recruiting residents interested in joining city committees or representing San Ramon on county-wide groups.

The following positions are open:

- Arts Advisory Committee, two alternate positions. Recruitment will remain until filled

- Economic Development Advisory Committee, one regular member and two alternates. Open until filled.

- Senior Citizen Advisory Committee, one regular member and two alternates. Open until filled.

- Transportation Demand Management Advisory Committee, one regular member and two alternates (all must represent a San Ramon business). Open until filled.

Contra Costa openings:

- Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging (city appointee), one member. Open until filled (must be able to attend morning meetings).

- Contra Costa County Mosquito and Vector Control District (city appointee), one member. Open until filled.

All you people in San Ramon that complain on line about restaurants and shopping or traffic, this is your chance to really do something about it.

Apply for one of the citizen advisory committees. Most only meet one night per month. Is that too much of your time.

Or is your time better spent complaining online?
