Danville serving up more rounds of 'Coffee & Cocoa with Cops'

A new set of "Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops" events starts in Danville this Friday after town officials said they received such positive feedback from the community after the initial series earlier this year.

"We have enjoyed getting to know our residents in this casual, friendly environment," police chief Steve Simpkins said, adding that he was delighted to have the chance to meet with residents in a stress-free setting. "Continuing to build on the police/community partnership is very important to us."

The next rounds of 'Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops' are set for:

Friday (Sept. 9) - Christy's Donuts on Diablo Road from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Sept. 14 - Starbucks at the Rose Garden from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sept. 20 - Peet's Coffee & Tea on Railroad Avenue from 7:30-9:30 a.m.

Sept. 22 - Yogurt Shack on Hartz Avenue from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
