A trio of fast-casual, full-service restaurants are set to open Monday as part of the new Roundhouse Market at San Ramon’s Bishop Ranch business park.

A collaboration between Moana Restaurant Group and Bishop Ranch owner Sunset Development in the 2600 at Bishop Ranch complex, the Roundhouse Market features pizza and Italian favorites at Quarterly, contemporary Mexican cuisine at The Pinto and salads, wraps and larger plates at Bishop Farms.

“The opening of Roundhouse Market has been long awaited by both Bishop Ranch tenants and the residents of San Ramon,” Alexander Mehran, Jr., president and chief operating officer of Sunset Development, said in a statement.

“We’re excited to be able to offer an array of dining options, with something for everyone,” he added. “Roundhouse Market was created with quality, convenience and community in mind.”

The restaurants, which focus on lunch offerings and menus for special events at the Roundhouse Conference Center, are overseen by executive chef Danny Guerrini, a Northern California native with previous executive experience at Cavallo Point in Sausalito as well as EOS Restaurant and Wine Bar and The Rotunda Room in Neiman Marcus in San Francisco, Bishop Ranch officials said.

Guerrini said the Roundhouse Market eateries focus on fresh, seasonal, high-quality offerings in a fast-casual environment, adding that his philosophy is “simplicity is best. If you let the fresh ingredients speak for themselves, then they will shine.”

One of the three restaurants, Bishop Farms offers a variety of made-to-order salads and wraps, including a grilled salmon Nicoise (with green beans, hard boiled eggs, Nicoise olives, Yukon potatoes, cherry tomatoes, organic greens and lemon vinaigrette) and a chicken Caesar wrap (with an organic spinach tortilla, romaine, shaved Parmesan, crushed garlic croutons and cherry tomatoes).

Larger plates at Bishop Farms include grilled mojo marinated flank steak with creamy horseradish, pickled red onion and arugula; and herb-brushed local albacore with wasabi aioli and ginger-sesame slaw.

Specializing in eight-inch pizzas with house-made ingredients, Quarterly is a Neapolitan-style pizzeria that will also offer a selection of baked oven dishes such as meatballs with marinara, oregano, basil and Parmesan, and macaroni and cheese with three cheeses and cauliflower.

The Pinto focuses on contemporary Mexican fare, with a variety of tacos, burritos, large plates and salads as well as house specialty dishes such as shrimp ceviche tostada with a crispy tortilla, shrimp, tomatoes, cucumber, cilantro, cabbage slaw and creamy avocado sauce.

The Roundhouse Market is managed by the Moana Restaurant Group, known for regional restaurants such as Piatti in Danville, Corners Tavern in Walnut Creek, El Dorado Kitchen in Sonoma, Basalt in Napa and Redd Wood in Yountville.

2600 at Bishop Ranch is located at 2600 Camino Ramon in San Ramon.

  1. Today 6/21/17 I decided to go to roundhouse for lunch, I order salad with carne asada. I’m not satisfied for what I got., lettuce are not fresh it’s bitter and most of the vegetables are pickled. What kind of salad is that. I might not going to order that again.
