Armed carjacking reported in Alamo

Authorities: Stolen Porsche remains at-large after extensive search

Contra Costa County sheriff’s deputies are investigating an armed carjacking reported at an Alamo shopping center Monday afternoon, according to a department spokesman.

Deputies responded to the center on the 3100 block of Danville Boulevard around 2:30 p.m. after emergency dispatchers received a call from a man who reported his wife had just been carjacked in the parking lot, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Jimmy Lee.

Authorities arrived at the scene and contacted the woman, who said she was sitting in the driver’s seat of her Porsche Boxster convertible with the door open about 15 minutes earlier when a stranger forced her out of the car at gunpoint, Lee said.

The gunman entered the car and drove away, according to Lee. The woman was not harmed during the incident.

Law enforcement agencies were notified to be on the lookout for the stolen car, but it was not located despite an extensive search, Lee said. The car was described as a white-colored, two-door, 2015 Porsche Boxster convertible with California license plate 7JEE656.

The investigation is ongoing, Lee said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 646-2441. For any tips, call (866) 846-3592 to leave an anonymous voice message or email

Plus, if the carjackers can get to the Caldecott tunnel, they now know that any pursuit will end, and be unlikely to be picked up by CHP or Oakland PD.

Expect more of these in the coming months, not less...

The sheriff's office has confirmed no viable suspect description at this point, saying what they received was too vague to be of value.

Oh,(to poster'Huh?') I thought we were being very politically correct here, in that you can never mention the race of a criminal, unless of course, they are white.

There is speculation that the increase in crime is due to the Liberal/Democratic backed proposition 47 which allows little or no jail time for certain crimes.

It's bad enough that alcohol is legal with all it's problems now we have made marijuana legal which will have it's own set of problems. Most of the crimes are a result of people being under the influence or trying to get more. Next maybe we should vote cocaine legal because of it's medical benefits. I know, I know, but we say, I drink and I don't have problems or commit crimes. I smoke marijuana and don't drive, I use it responsibly. Unfortunately the world doesn't revolve around you or I. When are we going to start looking beyond ourselves and start seeing what is going on in the world. Prayers for all

Pretty sure they do in fact have a description of the perp but they have chosen to not release it for PC reasons.
My bet is the Amish had their hands in this.
