Danville: Mustang Soccer U13 team wins NorCal titles

Girls clinch State Cup Championship on late goal in 1-0 victory

The U13 Mustang Xtreme Premier girls soccer team earned first place in the NorCal Premier League and NorCal State Cup Championship this season.

The team clinched the NorCal State Cup Championship earlier this month in Modesto, defeating San Leandro Deportivo Barcelona 1-0 in the title game on Katie Curran's goal with three minutes left in the match.

Led by coaches Justin Lola, Alex Bly and Khalid Jiha, the team went undefeated in their last 30 games overall.

The team consisted of Curran, Dalia Jiha, Emily MacBryde, Katie Curran, Emma Salas, Isabelle Yu, Emma Miller, Sophia Lola, Cate Peters, Samantha Flores, Sarah Martin, Lauren Wright, Audrey Ross, Sarah MacBryde, Grace Foster, Abbie Bly, Alyssa Best, McKenna Kelly and Jaxie Carney.
