The San Ramon Valley school board is set to conduct a public employee performance evaluation of the superintendent at a special meeting Wednesday morning.
Superintendent Rick Schmitt has been with SRVUSD for almost a year, taking over in July 2016.
The closed-session meeting is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the district administrative complex, 699 Old Orchard Drive in Danville.

The district had some very serious issues this year... Lack of leadership?

I have not been impressed with his leadership. He does not back up teachers or administration. The letter sent out after the criminal video incident was insulting. He is not a good fit for our community.

Lack of leadership? do tell us the details of that. dude has been on the job a year and has done a pretty good job. spends great deal of his time reaching out and visiting nearly all the schools with 'tea' time with parents/teachers etc. getting rid of him would cost a great deal of $$ and there is no cause.

Not his problem he can't get rid of the air heads and dummies - this is California after all. The problem is not leadership; it's a few stupid kids and their worthless parents,

I think what is happening is a tale of 2 DVUSD's. The old part and the new part (Dougherty Valley). And at least one HS where a few high profile incidents occurred. That certainly not a new, one year on the job, superintendent fault. More like a very very weak HS principal.
Wow, Dave you use a very wide paint brush, aye? sheesh

Scott Hale I believe there were plenty of incidents at all the high schools(some had more press than others) and some serious problems at at least one middle school.

there are like 34+ schools and 33k students. Not sure possible there wouldn't be issues...ever...at any of them. The new super been here just a year. Just exactly what do you feel he is lacking that my provoke going through a very very expensive ordeal to replace the position???
Did you attend any of his 'tea' times that occurred at most of the schools during the school year?? Do tell.
