As participation in cricket continues to grow in the Tri-Valley, the cities of Pleasanton, Dublin and San Ramon are set to host the National Youth Cricket tournaments for the U13 and U15 age groups Nov. 19-22.

Pleasanton Mayor Jerry Thorne announced that news during the third annual Dandiya and Bollywood Night event benefiting the nonprofit Cricket for Cubs league earlier this month at Pleasanton's Harvest Park Middle School.

More than 800 people attended the celebratory fundraiser. In addition to Thorne, local city officials in attendance included Dublin Mayor David Haubert, Pleasanton City Councilwoman Kathy Narum, San Ramon City Councilman Phil O'Loane, San Ramon Parks and Community Services Commissioner Sridhar Verose and Fremont Parks and Recreation Commissioner Pavan Vedere.
