Alamo Summer Concert Series brings fun times to town

Outdoor musical performances to take place in Livorna Park through July

A four-concert series is set to hit the grassy fields in Alamo starting on Friday for the Alamo Summer Concert Series, which will feature an eclectic mix of musical genres for families to enjoy on cool summer nights.

Starting on Friday, Alamo recreation staff are encouraging residents from throughout the region to grab a blanket, chairs and a picnic, and head down to Livorna Park -- located on the corner of Livorna Road and Miranda Avenue -- to enjoy the free outdoor concerts.

The concert series will feature Mercy & The Heartbeats (music’s biggest hits '70s to today) on June 28, Mixed Nuts (rock and pop standards) July 5, Fog City Swampers (Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band) on July 12 and Mike Amaral’s California Beach Boys (Beach Boys tribute band) on July 26.

All concerts are free to attend and take place Friday evening’s from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

2019’s Alamo Summer Concert Series is presented by Contra Costa County Public Works, Alamo Parks and Recreation with support from the Alamo Municipal Advisory Council.

Visitors requiring special assistance can contact Alamo recreation staff at 313-2272.
