Downtown Danville streets to close down for annual SRVHS Homecoming Parade

Thursday procession precedes varsity game v. Foothill on Friday

San Ramon Valley High School will be holding its annual Homecoming Parade in downtown Danville on Thursday, and residents are advised that streets in the area will temporarily close for the event.

The parade will begin 2:40 p.m. at the SRVHS campus, 501 Danville Blvd., and will result in street closures along parts of parts of Railroad, Prospect, and Hartz avenues as well as Danville Boulevard.

Streets are scheduled to reopen by 3:15 p.m., motorists in the surrounding areas are also told to expect delays resulting from the annual event.

The SRVHS football squads will be playing their homecoming games on Friday against Pleasanton's Foothill High School, with the junior varsity team taking the field at 4:30 p.m. followed by varsity at 7 p.m.
