The Alamo Danville Artists’ Society is set to host the opening of its newest exhibit “Enchantment” at the Blackhawk Gallery next week, and art connoisseurs and casual observers alike are invited to an opening reception set to be held at the gallery.

Curated by Debby Koonce, Kerima Swain and Beverly Turner, the exhibit will be on view at the gallery seven days a week from Nov. 22 through Jan. 26, with the special opening reception set to be held Saturday Nov. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Enchantment will feature work from 38 members of the Alamo Danville Artists’ Society — a community art group made up of members from the San Ramon Valley — as well as guest artist Susan Berger, who will have a variety of their art on display.

Society members say that members’ artwork will cover a wide variety of mediums such as paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, photographs, jewelries, and wearable art, while Berger will specifically be showing her frameworked and fuse glass pieces.

The Blackhawk Gallery is located at 3416 Blackhawk Plaza Circle in Danville. Regular gallery hours run Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. -8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. -6 p.m. The gallery will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day as well as both New Year’s Eve and Day.

Interested residents can learn more by calling the gallery directly at 648-8023.
