Sheriff's office investigating possible murder-suicide in Danville

Authorities were on the scene in Danville on Wednesday night investigating a possible murder-suicide at a property on Larkwood Circle, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office confirmed the situation in a social media post just after 8 p.m. Wednesday but said no additional details about the case were available as the investigation was still active.

“There is no threat to the public. Further information will be released at a later time,” the sheriff’s office stated in its post.

Larkwood Circle is located near the Greenbrook neighborhood in southern Danville, just over a block from Greenbrook Elementary School, separated by the Iron Horse Regional Trail.
