Richard Del Tredici
Dec. 22, 1940-Feb. 12, 2014
Pleasanton, California
From Cindie Andrade (Nairn)
July 19, 2014

To the family of Mr. Del Tredici, may your sorrow evolve into the joyful memories of such a great man. I was never a student of his, unfortunately, but knew him well, as did everyone else on the Amador campus, as he tried to get to know all students, and reached out to those who responded to his many kindnesses. I am sorry for your loss, and have and will continue to remember Mr. Del Tredici for always. With all sincerity, Cindie Andrade

Even among the finest teachers at Amador, Mr. Del Tredici stood out as a uniquely devoted person to high scholastic standards, respect for his students and infusing his sense of humor into the classroom setting. He made learning easy for apprehensive freshmen in English 1A in 1966. He instilled in me a love for literature and writing that has lasted a lifetime. He set the bar high for freshmen. No one who had him as a teacher will ever forget how to write a perfect five-part essay. I know he?ll be remembered and missed by family, friends, former students and the St. Augustine?s parish. Bless his family. Janette Miller-Lewis, Class of 1970
