Folks from history to haunt Alamo Cemetery

You won't find any real ghosts but you will meet some historic characters, played by museum docents, when you visit the Alamo Cemetery the weekend before Halloween. The Museum of the San Ramon Valley is hosting its annual Autumn Tour of the historic cemetery at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, and these Valley pioneers will be hovering near their final resting places.

To take the special tour, meet at the front gate located at the end of El Portal near La Gonda Way in Danville. The tour is free but donations are always welcome. The Alamo Cemetery is part of the Alamo/Lafayette Cemetery District, which was established in 1937. To schedule tours for other dates, contact the Museum at 837-3750.
