Gearing up for Veterans Day, Nov. 11

A Military Museum will be open at the Veterans Hall in Danville from Sunday to Tuesday, a chance for the family to view items from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Many residents bring items they own or have inherited to the display each year and it's not too late to contribute: Call Tony at 719-3506 or 743-8775. The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday-Tuesday, Nov. 9-11, at 400 Hartz Ave.

On Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, there will be a ceremony beginning at 10:45 a.m. at San Ramon Valley High School with members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 75, American Legion Mt. Diablo Post 246, and Vietnam Veterans of Diablo Valley. It will take place at the Performing Arts Center, 501 Danville Blvd.

Also on Veterans Day, Cub Scout Pack 536 will hold a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 8:30 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church, 220 W. El Pintado Road, Danville. For more information, call Cub Master Ken Boasso at 552-9963.
