Alamo teen arrested at underage drinking party

A call to a home in the Glasgow Circle neighborhood off Camino Tassajara on Saturday resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old Alamo man after police found several teens holding a party in an empty home.

Danville Police Sgt. Kevin Daley said the incident occurred around 9 p.m. Jan. 24 at a rental home that is currently vacant. Daley said a patrol officer was called to the scene after neighbors complained of a party at the location.

On arrival the officer spotted several suspects running away from the house. A search of the property turned up a suspect identified as Andrew Bonner hiding in the yard of the home. Bonner told police he did not know whose house he was at and did not recall who invited him to the party.

Bonner was arrested and charged with trespassing and public intoxication.

Daley said situations like this are becoming more common as Danville teens try to work around a town ordinance fining homeowners found to be housing a teen drinking party.

"They're just getting more inventive," Daley said. "In the summer they'll just find a place outside and hope no one complains."
