Learn about Indian life in the Valley

The discovery of multiple Indian burials during the construction of the new gym at San Ramon Valley High School has prompted the Museum of the San Ramon Valley to present a special interpretive program, "Through Indian Eyes." The public is invited to attend from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Museum. This occurs at the opening of the Indian Life Exhibit and educational program for valley students.

"Through Indian Eyes" features speaker Don Phelps, a lecturer in Native American Studies at the University of Phoenix and an adjunct professor in the School of Education at St. Mary's College. He will give a presentation on Native American hunting and collection of food, domestic life, daily rituals, celebration of births and deaths, dress and adornment, and the use of basket. He is a resident of Alamo.

The Museum is located at the corner of Railroad and Prospect avenues in Danville.
