Crime reporting goes high tech

In an effort to maintain services amid widespread county cutbacks and as a means of keeping up with today's cyber lifestyle, the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office has instituted a new program that will allow residents to report crimes online.

what happens if it`s to be a lie and they just want them to go to jail because they hat him or her. how would you know then if its a lie or not?
