Town Square

Post a New Topic

Original post made by jp, Danville, on Apr 17, 2010

In December 2009 there was substantial turnout at an initial council meeting to discuss the "housing element", the first step to creating the update to the Town Of Danville General Plan.
There was an outcry for better public notices, thus I am posting this data I just discovered. Town has new meeting data on their website - but you have to go to the “rolling bar” in center of the town homepage and then find link to general plan, and then search through the meetings notices -- it will NOT say General Plan in the Meeting title! -- Here is link to new data & agendas for next weeks mtgs --

(3 meetings posted online):

Upcoming Meeting Agendas
April 20 - Town Council and Planning Commission joint study session
April 20 - Town Council meeting
April 21 - Arts and Parks and Leisure Services Commission joint
study session

Thank you for the notice and info!
Yes, I also think the Town's "notice" system is poor.

Wow, it is extremely cumbersome (and therefore intentionally discouraging) to try to wade through the Town's site to find any real information.

Looks like a lot more of OUR tax money will be spent to profit the environmental companies and environmental "religion"!

Thank you so much for the posting, jp. As I think this rezoning may be a problem in my neighborhood, I wonder why the info is not more readily available. Maybe the Town should put up posters similar to garage sale signs.
