Denise Jennison to run for school board in November

Original post made on Jun 16, 2010

Denise Jennison announced today that she intends to run for a spot on the San Ramon Valley Unified School District board in the upcoming November election. There are currently three spots open, as the terms of Board President Rachel Hurd, Bill Clarkson and Ken Mintz expire this year. The other two seats are filled by Paul Gardner and Greg Marvel, whose terms expire in 2012.

I don't think so.

Dear Emily,

Diablo Vista (Alamo) region neighborhoods are humorously celebrating the quiet opportunity to "RECALL" a majority of the SRVUSD Board through the general election process. It was to be a surprise for the current board members considering re-election in November. With the majority of SRVUSD voters as participants in corridor neighborhood groups, a slate of write-in candidates could be registered this FALL and simply voted into office without any public campaign.

With Joan's recognition of Ms. Jennison, neighborhoods now only need two write-in candidates to demonstrate their will and interests to SRVUSD.

Once more, ROFL

How about doing things and making sound decisions that are right for the taxpayers of this community?

Dear Emily,

Shall we take a moment and refocus the drift of this topic. Ms. Jennison, by neighborhoods' analysis, is a fiscally-focused candidate with exceptional analysis of SRVUSD programs. More exactly, she is committed to what is absent, by design, from SRVUSD Board and Administration relationships with district residents as the OWNERS of SRVUSD. She wants all residents to KNOW the issues and options.

We should support all candidates that commit to such open and honest relationship with us as the owners of the district.

We only have an additional need! We have to find candidates for the three SRVUSD board positions that understand their obligation to open representation of our district residents and expulsion of the restriction on information and communication now as policy.

Neighborhoods, as Ralph enjoying ROFL, should not need to continue the exposure that is an editor's job.

Futility is ROFL

I have had the opportunity to work with Denise with many school related issues in the past. I am glad to see that you have stepped up for this position! You can count on my vote!

Don't miss out on the discussion!
