Enjoy some Chinese food this weekend while benefiting a good cause

Panda Express at the Iron Horse Plaza in Danville will give 20 percent of the receipts from meals purchased between 11 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., Saturday, June 19, to the Lazarex Cancer Foundation of Danville. Lazarex (a non-profit foundation) provides support to cancer patients who have been told that conventional medicine can no longer help them. Flyers needed to benefit the foundation can be found by visiting Lazarex Headquarters at 169 Front St. in Danville.

Lazarex uses the money to help late-stage cancer patients find FDA-approved clinical trials and then supports them with lodging, travel and other expenses. Those visiting Panda will need one of the flyers available at the Lazarex offices for Panda to apply the 20% share to Lazarex. Bon appetit!
