So, am I to believe that the witnesses were able to determine the suspect's height age, and hair color, but couldn't tell us if the suspect was white, black, asian, or Latino? Really? Come on, people, the race in the description is important. Noone is going to accuse your publication of racism for reporting the facts.

Agree with Alamo Dad. It is extremely frustrating to see 'papers' like the Weekly not divulge critical pieces of information tied to the description of a potential predator. Another example of "PC" gone too far. You're not going to offend the readers if you say the person was black, white, hispanic, asian, etc.... C'mon Danville Weekly - grow a spine.

Thank you, amom. Color me racist, but I assumed this was the case. Why wouldn't Danville Express want to put out every bit of information available-is it more important to you be PC than it is to protect children?

Has anyone thought to use their cell phone camera and get a picture of HIM and give to the police?

Good thought, Danville Mom. I'd worry that in order to get a useful photo of the guy, you're going to have to get really, really close to the guy. Might be better tactic to use the cell phone to call the police, get them enroute, then sit back and see if you can follow him safely to a vehicle. The police will be able to do more with a license plate number than the typical cellphone pic.

Sorry about leaving his race out. It was an oversight. The report said that hey appeared to be white and I've updated the story.

Maybe he's a man who loves to photograph children. What a suspicious lot of people there are in this neighborhood! How could he be hurting the children by photographing them? In today's climate, a man is looked at with horror if he takes a little girl upon his knee and hugs and kisses her, even she's his own daughter. A pity.

On the news broadcast today, there was a report about a Boy Scout leader in Danville found in possession of child pornography. I thought this might be that story. Why isn't there an article for that!
FYI for why parents are so suspicious--this is why! Parents need to be proactive about protecting their kids and can't rely or assume that the authorities & police aren't going to make mistakes.

@Judy-Did you actually read the post before yours by the author of the story?
@Barbara-Photographing children is fine, but shouldn't this person ask the parents before he does so? And does it bother you at all that this person RUNS AWAY when asked about his activities?
