Only deceased artists need apply

Original post made on Oct 29, 2010

Just imagine receiving an email from the person "in charge of the Sistine Chapel." Art Space blogger John Barry tells all about San Ramon artist Kevin Davidson making contact with the Vatican regarding his spiritual painting, "Jonah in the Whale." Turns out that the person liked the painting but doesn't accept works from "living artists." Read all about it in Barry's latest blog, [Web Link "Strong Artistic Views."]

I work alongside Kevin in our studio spaces in Danville. This piece needs to be viewed in person in order to be fully appreciated. The "circle" around Jona's head is painted in a brilliant gold color that reflects light and passion.

Why do we want diseased artists when we can have helthy ones. I got my flu shot so I won't be dieseased by the flu. If the artists took better care they would not have to be disesed to. But that's just me. Nevermind.
