Mike Doyle compelled to take down his illegally large signs

Original post made by follow the law, Danville, on Oct 30, 2012

Apparently 22-year Town Council member and current candidate Mike Doyle thinks he is above the law. Most of you probably saw his gigantic (6' by 8' or more, when 2' by 3' is the legal upper limit in Danville) signs go up this past weekend. It appears that pressure was brought to bear on him (perhaps the posts in the Express?) and Doyle removed them yesterday.

Doyle and the other Danville Council members think they are above the law in other areas as well. For example, they think they know better than voters, so they refuse to give voters their Measure S rights to decide whether Agricultural land should be converted to residential development, and if so, what the development should look like.

Let's have some new voices on Council: voices that will honor Measure S and believe that the voters, and not Council members, have the legal right to and should make such irrevocable decisions.

22 years of service is awesome & Danville is proud to have Mike on our team. I have a small Mike sign in my front yard, I would rather it be 6x8. Mike Doyle is a great man & a strong public servant.
