Town officials concerned about San Ramon backing out of lobbying alliance

San Ramon recently opted out of a contract with Jordan Associates, a consultant group that arranged the Tri-Valley mayors' lobbying trip to Washington every January. The move is frustrating Danville officials, who feel that the city will reap the benefits of regional lobbying without paying for it.

I would like to see a list of items that Danville has benefited from the spending of this $20,000 year after year. My tax dollars at work. Sounds like another consultant get rich scheme and a government paid sightseeing trip.

Don't know about "Danville benefits" but I bet our dear city leaders have plenty of perks and wonderful dining experiences at taxpayer expense. At this point I really don't trust the mayor or any of the council members at all.

I'm sure this trip cost the tax payers a lot and Newell Arnerich is bummed because he likes to rub elbows with the elitists in DC. Glad San Ramon pulled the plug. We don't need more lobbyists.
