Hmmm... What makes these suspicious vehicles?... Was a black person driving?

Recently, a friend of mine was pulled over and his vehicle searched. His car was probably "suspicious.” Although his vehicle was searched, he didn't get arrested. He’s a good guy, but not rich enough to own a new car.

My advice to others: NEVER consent to let a police officer search your vehicle – even if you have nothing to hide. The correct statement: I do not consent to the search of my vehicle.

You may ask a follow-up question: Do you have probable cause? If not, then immediately ask for a lawyer. They have NO RIGHTS to search your vehicle unless they feel they have probable cause. Then, they can search WITHOUT your consent.

Do not hand over your civil liberties. Please protect yourselves. Our police officers are very hungry to feed their pensions… Please follow all traffic and safety laws. And above all, protect yourselves.
