Hayward man sentenced to 14 years in Gold N Treasures holdup

The first of four people charged in a botched jewelry store holdup that left one of the robbers dead was sentenced Tuesday to more than a decade behind bars. Michael Porter of Hayward was 21 when he was arrested. His attorney worked out a deal that dropped a murder charge in exchange for a plea of no contest to one count.
